The scope of work included various Tasks including: The analysis of the existing park site to develop a proposed master plan to enhance existing elements like renovating the two restroom buildings and pavilions and adding new features, including an amphitheater, parking barriers to create a sodded area with a water view, a paved parking area, storm water systems, a dog park, and pedestrian circulation. This project was performed in coordination with FDEP. VBA had a vision to design the Amphitheater to memorialize the 5 Military Branches to give the amphitheater more meaning because it is on the Beacon Hill Veteran’s Memorial Park grounds. The Amphitheater incorporated an elevated stage area with roof element as well as access to power. The two restrooms were renovated with replacement of plumbing fixtures, ventilation requirements, lighting, accessories and finishes. VBA Design provided construction administration, which included weekly site visits, progress reports, reviewed monthly pay requests and coordinated all efforts with the FDEP Project Manager.
